Where is your focus

I woke up at 4.30am on the morning of the 1st of January 2021 with the words resounding in my mind "Fix your eyes on Jesus"

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Cor. 4: 17-18 (NIV)

What every struggles and situations are ahead of us in 2021, it is important that we make a decision to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on what we see and hear.

Whether you are struggling with personal issues or relationship problem, or health issues, or financial hardship, it's important to keep your eyes on Jesus. Honestly, it is the only way we will get through the hard times.

Read and meditate on Psalm 46:1 Read the verse slowly and out loud putting your own name in it. There isn't anything that God doesn't know about and He wants you to really get that point. Let that sink in. God is our protection, He is our strength, He is our refuge, He is a very present help in times of trouble. God is fully aware of our situations. He never intended for us to carry our burdens on our own. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Fix your eyes on Jesus and let Him carry the load, let Him deal with it on your behalf.

There is a verse of a song we use to sing many years ago that came to my mind, it goes like this;

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face,

and the things of earth will grow strangely din in the light of His Glory and Grace.
